Things we want to share...
Last weekend Tyler discovered the joy of transport. For about a day he was flipping his hips over, and then once he figured out how to get his shoulders, too, watch out! Now he is on the move, rolling across the floor from left to right. The unfortunate thing is that when he runs into the couch or wall he gets frustrated because he hasn't figured out how to roll the other way.
Last week we enjoyed a trip to the zoo and later a visit from Mamaw and Papaw. Kyle got to brush goats in the Children's Zoo. He really enjoyed that. Once Mamaw and Papaw got here, he enjoyed always having someone's undivided attention as he played with his puzzles, train or Legos. While Kyle was sleeping, we worked on teaching Tyler some Bridge.
We did learn one valuable lesson last week, though. When Kyle is being quiet, too quiet, check the Ovaltine. I found him on the floor in the kitchen with the large container of Ovaltine wide open and chocolate powder everywhere! The best part? He was scared of the brown water in the bath tub! What a mess!
Yesterday was Kyle's first swim lesson. So far we have worked on blowing bubbles, floating on his back and front, kicking and jumping in. He loves jumping in - it is his favorite part! He especially loves it when I let him go all the way under water. What we need to work on most is lying back in the water. I think that is the scariest part for him.
That is about it for us for now! Until next time, we'll just keep swimming, just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming, swimming....
