Things we want to share...
Here we are, week 2 of swim lessons, last week of Intermediate Agility, a week from Father's Day and two weeks from crazy. Saturday was a very uplifting day as we walked 5K in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure in Downtown St. Louis. The boys wore a shirt and onesie that said, "I walk for my grandma" and "I crawl for my grandma," respectively. This is the second year for me to participate in this monumental, world record-breaking event, and it was just as amazing this year as it was last. The amount of support that St. Louis shows in the fight against breast cancer is astounding, to say the least. I am overjoyed and honored to be a participant in such an event! My goal for next year: to run in it. I have a long way to go to be able to run 5K, but I think that one year gives me plenty of time to prepare myself.
Last week I talked to my dog trainer about moving Calypso up to the advanced training class, and she thinks we are ready to give it a try! Calypso amazes me when it comes to how astute she is. I know she's ready for advanced, but I'm not so sure about myself. We'll see. Tomorrow is our last day of Intermediate training, and then next week we start Advanced!
So we started the second and final week of swim lessons today. Today the teacher had some "dumbbells" with foam ends that were buoyant enough to support the kids' weight in the water. Kyle enjoyed the freedom he got while kicking around with those under his arms. Only three more days of lessons left!
As for Justin, he is wrapping up his third quarter (out of 5) of grad school. He doesn't have anything major due these last few classes, so hopefully the next few weeks will be a little easier around here.
